The Fed is at The Fair this year, to ease Y2K fears

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Among the livestock, cream puffs, farm goods and flowers, the Federal Reserve Bank will be making its presence known at the Wisconsin State Fair that opens an 11-day run Thursday.

Sorry, but I couldn't resist. I just get tired of the "little" guys getting hurt. While the "big" guys protect themselves. Remember, I was a "coal-miner's daughter" before I went to these "directors meetings" each year in Jamaica [because of my "ex"], staying in luxury villas (at taxpayers expense).

While conversation over dinner was usually pretty light ... occasionally it would stray into ploys for tax savings [borderline legal] and how they saved on insurance. "He had a strong background. Really wanted him. Did a background check. Found out his wife had M.S. Had to wait until that last interview before we could ..."
