That would be an interesting insurance claim. North of the Mir
diamond pipe mine in Russia a meteorite hit a graphite deposit.
I learned of this at from an international kimberlite conference
in Novosibirsk. This deposit (which is a state secret) has been
mined for over a decade. What are they mining there? I never
learned that. There is a similar deposit in Canada that as yet
has not been explored.
