Jim ; A problem with using foreign indexes is that they can be
very misleading as they are not adjusted to changes in the currency.
---------------
quote.yahoo.com^AORD&d=1ys
compared to
quote.yahoo.com
EWA tracks the main stocks in AORD but it shows up in US dollars.
-----------
quote.yahoo.com^N225&d=1ys
to
quote.yahoo.com
------------------
The US just hasn't been doing as great as many people
have been lead to believe by the hawkers who just want
to sell stocks, and push out ever more IPOs.
-----------
Using the WEBs instead of indexes most often tells more
about what's really going on, other wise you have to
over lay the chart with a currency chart vs US dollar.
Both the $AU and the YEN have gone up dramatically
against the $US , so just charting their index against the
S&P don't produce apples to apples unless you add or subtract
the changes in currency from point to point.

I am looking at First Australia Primes which carry a very high yield and are traded on the Amex. Is there a comparable debt instrument to invest in Finland?
