What's the deal with new/old SI here?... Anybody know why, when I log-onto SI today (Saturday) this is the ONLY thread that comes up with the "new" format? ALL of my others (including Kimberly's) still come up with the "old" format -- which, of course, is much BETTER. In fact, this is the first time I've ever even seen the new layout (I deliberately never tried it during the beta period) -- and GOSH, is it awful!! There's more junk at the top of the screen which makes the posts sit lower-down, I now have to use "Largest" font-settings to get the same-size fonts I get with the "Large" setting on the older format, and the whole navigation process is cumbersome and annoying. AND, I can't seem to update my display-preferences on the Options page (I keep telling it NOT to list messages in "descending order" -- but it keeps doing it anyway). Anyone know if we'll in fact be given an option to keep using the old format if we want -- and again, why is this the ONLY board where I'm even seeing the new format so far? Sorry to ramble -- just kinda ticked-off... Vagabond
