now YOURs was a beautiful sentiment. but you know what? we've ALL struggled and come up with variations on answers to the same theme: what do I do for myself? how many loved ones do i have? how do i respond to 'others' i do NOT love who will be in need. first and foremost, we have to get ourselves ready. then we have something to reach out to 'loved' ones with. if there is anything left, then we can reach out to others. most on here won't struggle with the first point of view, and will never get to the second point or the 3rd point. such is our fractured society. for those of us who have provided for ourselves and our loved ones primarily, why in the name of all that's holy, is that class getting such rough treatment? if I take care of me and mine, you won't have to. nor will the government. nor will my kids, grandkids and their loved ones. it isn't isolation that one should concern oneself with. and isolation is NOT one of my problems. i've just drawn a smaller manageable circle than most who chose to live in or near a city larger than 1,000 have drawn. again, i say, bully for you. p.s., what will you do with the lady who is utterly alone, likes it that way, and wants to leave your safe ark before it is 'safe to go back to being alone?' noble, yes? practical? well, maybe not. wish i could her how your 'plan' works out.
