Maybe the first "killer app" for broadband will be something as basic as exciting easy to access online catalogs.

I'd like to see the company negotiate with their advertisers to place info on each catalog page that says something to the effect of, "This page will download using cable in two seconds." We see web pages with labels saying they work best with the latest versions of browsers, etc., etc.

I realize it sounds silly at first blush, but I think it will be effective in educating dial-up (non DSL) users about the increased enjoyment and efficiency cable will bring to their shopping experience. And if it's good for the customer, it's good for the advertiser and ATHM.
