That's where/when I learned about putting a brick in your toilet tank. We all did it back then. Had no choice. Real quick showers. Yeah... but thanks to Uncle Sugar, we all have to have low-flow toilets instead of the old trusty WCs.. Just a damn shame you have to flush 'em twice to make 'em work properly. That's our EPA at work for ya... :0) Heard there is quite a black market for the old style toilets. Btw, The governor of Maryland has instituted water restrictions on watering lawns in that state. DC and VA are still relatively unaffected by the drought, but the Potomac is looking a might shallow lately. And that story IS FUNNY... :0) I have to believe the BATF, FBI, Diplomatic Security folks were just a bit red in the face... and those Y2K'rs are spreading stories about "black helicopters"... :0) But in this city you can't be too careful.... They take this terrorism stuff VERY seriously and will act upon almost all tips. The Sec/State has an armed guard outside her Georgetown apt 24 hours a day now after the threats from Bin Laden. Unfortunately there is no other choice. The danger is just too real. Btw, today we had a Neo-Nazi rally here in the nation's capital. Estimates were that some 300 nazis would show up so the city responded by putting some 1,450 police on the streets to prevent a repeat of the riots that occurred during the last rally in the early '90s. The entire area around the White House was like an ARMED CAMP with cops everywhere, decked out in riot gear and gas masks, and a 9 square block are barricaded off. It was an INCREDIBLE pain in the butt to get around the city today. So anyway, do you know how many Neo-nazis apparently showed up?? Somewhere UNDER a dozen!!! 1,450 police to handle under a dozen protesters!! I LOVE this city!!! <VBG> Regards, Ron
