I sort of agree with the post suggesting that the drug companies will suppress earnings for political reasons...
i would add that one way this would occur would be by increasing their research budgets.This would also allow them to argue that their earnings are modest, but also that they are spending a tremendous amount of money in their arduous task of drug discovery. This could be an effective argument since one fallout of the Clinton Healthcare effort of the early 90s was that Drugs are the cheapest form of health care.

If Pfizer has a revolutionary drug that they are about to tell the world about, then it would expose itself to efforts by WLA to co-market it. If the drug is "revolutionary" then WLA would certainly opt for it. If WLA knows about it and opted not to co-market it, then the drug cannot be all that "revolutionary"
