As has been discussed here recently, Manhattan is not in the need of any financings in the near future. If a deal they couldn't refuse came along, then I wouldn't hold them against them if they took it. But that is not the purpose of the visit.

The fundamentals for gold and copper and quite different, which is why Manhattan is mothballing Moris and working on Tambo.

I'm not sure where the rush is, but Manhattan is required to do work to earn its option, and is also proceeding on the basis of higher copper prices in the next couple of years. That's not an uncommon notion. Note that Antamina in Peru is proceeding at a good pace.

Interesting that you should mention Placer, but that's another story...
