The User Perspective Hello All, I've been lurking in the background enjoying the free information flowing from all the posts. I've read the questions sent to CKFR's investor relations and categorized them into either financial or relationship areas. What I haven't seen is a question or thread on the user segments and what it will take attract the late adopters (the majority of users) enabling CKFR and it's partners to "cross the chasm" (hit the fast growth portion of the S curve). Have I missed this discussion? I keep talking with my friends (mostly married couples, one or two professional wage earners with school age kids) and just because the major portals may offer bill pay isn't going to get them to move away from paper checks and snail mail. I usually find the male does the investing and is comfortable doing a few on-line trades a year. I usually find the female does the bill paying and has little incentive to invest the effort to switch to EBPP. Typical comments: How many hours will it take me to learn and how many hours will I spend on the phone trying to correct my mistakes? I can already pay my recurring bills (elec., phone, VISA, insurance, cable) by automatic deduction. What's the big deal? The kids use the computer to play and do homework. Sometimes it's down for days at a time. I won't tie my bill paying to our home computer. So, here is my (late) question for CKFR (and this group). How does CKFR segment the user market, what is the size of each segment, and what features/incentives will it take to make them users of EBPP? I use Quicken/CKFR and am long on CKFR, but I know the stock price will plateau if the EBPP community doesn't have good answers for the paper check users.
