Qcom is not a net stock. There are many stocks doing far better than ATHM, but ATHM is pretty average as an "internet" stock. Since day 1 ATHM has moved with AOL and that is still true, though the pattern is showing signs of weakening.

We need $40 broadband AOL thru ATHM...ATHM and AOL splits the content fee.
Everyone knows that the users would adore something like this. The question boils down to how much is AOL willing to pay. AOL wants to pay a flat fee and not share in any revenue from content. Since you can already get AOL for $9.95 that means the flat fee would have to be around $5/month. Do you think @home should give up customers for only $5/month?

While many could argue yes, I don't think thats enough payment, neither does TJ.

I know you were in essense suggesting a "bait & switch", but I think that the "AOL free" promotion is the best solution available until AOL gets a little more reasonable.

Oddly, again you are taking the viewpoint of the "AT&T beaurocrats". I thought the point was that they were interfering in making the "tough decisions".
