pc, have you checked mortgage rates lately? up 1.5 points in about 9 months. inflation, and very bad inflation, is at our doorstep. if greenspan doesn't do it... there will be long term problems.

PC, The reason AG will change his easy Al stance is because he has shot his wad. The buck is dead meat and the bond along with it, thanks to his unprecedented reckless rate cuts of last year. These are even more important to the health of the American economy than the stock market. He has to choose whether to destroy the bond and buck or the stock market. I guess the latter. If he chooses the former, then overseas sellers will destroy the stock market. But it will take a day or two longer. <g>
