Rarebird, if in the days, weeks or months the financial structure
and economies of nations turn sour then I think we have a chance to
identify that which was done to cause the bad results because the
GATA created by Bill Murphy, with lemetropolecafe.com
has identified that it was not bad luck or alignment of the planets
and moon and stars, but thru actual people put into positions of power
to determine what money is, and type of risks it may have.

Then those who believe I twisted the below post to you from hunchback
to reflect an untruth will hang their heads and weep with shame.

From: hunchback Friday, Aug 6

... article in a major French newspaper about the IMF and Russia.

Here is the reply from the IMF.

... funds from the international community to Russia
... being diverted to the enrichment of oligarchs was NOT done with the
knowledge of world leaders and the Managing Director of the IMF...

... The IMF's decision to release new financing to Russia is a direct
outcome of a pledge obtained from those highest up in the Russian
government that controlled the actual rip-off of the money obtained
from the tax payers of all those countries, that this time it will not
be done in such an open and defiant manner.

The IMF does not want to make excuses for the Russian's government elite
and criminal insiders obscenely flaunting the theft of the money riches
given to help their countries poor from hunger and sickness, but it should
be realized that we now live in an age that those in business and criminal
activity that have helped put in, and keep in, the politicians now want a
pay back. Add to this anything is ok to do, just act sorry if get caught.

The recognition that the IMF is simply an extension of people, just like
those powerful people in all the nations represented, and that not one
single nation has prevented their citizens money from being wasted and
pork barreled and "lost". Infact it is understood that this type of
activity is "expected", and thus overlooked and thus it's ok.

Its in this light that the Russians were suprised that what they did
in the open received bad press.

They were just being "honest" about it, thats all. Anyway, the Russian
people are much more aware and accepting of the ways of the government
simply because the Russian government doesn't hide and double talk to
their citizens like the USA one, for example, does. It would really
help the IMF if the USA government leaders were more upfront and honest
in telling their citizens that of their tax money spent to help other
countries, that most goes to those with already big money and power.

Sure would help this IMF if everyone was honest about corruption.

Thank You, and with little regard, The IMF thinks of the following

Rarebird:

You might find it wiser to ignore Ron's posts instead of wasting your time in a fruitless debate. Ron's anti-gold views can be found all the time in the mainstream financial media. People do not come to gold threads to read a rehash of mainstream anti-gold propaganda.

Rarebird,

The last time I checked, the thread was named "Gold Price Monitor", NOT "Gold Price Cheerleader"... or "Goldbug Gulch"... or something to the effect that only gold lovers can post here. The intent is to monitor the price of gold and observe how it reacts under various economic conditions. You have only to go to the opening post on this thread to see how you are out of line in trying to harangue the "Anti-Midas" faction from posting here.

Why do you continue to try to pidgeon hole me as a Fed Lover? The Fed is a group of men deciding monetary policy, JUST LIKE the JP Morgan's of the world used to do UNDER the gold standard.

I'm amazed that you have yet to understand how monetary decisions ALWAYS ULTIMATELY come down to human decision makers, not some innocuous yellow metal. Gold can't protect itself or retain value against the decisions of men.

Weren't Central Bankers the ones who have always decided how many dollars are tied to an ounce of gold or it value in the open market?

Weren't Central bankers in control of the gold market as well under the gold standard??

And btw, how are you privy to what price gold will have to be ($1,000) before Greenspan intervenes and leases gold??

That a pretty amazing prediction in the face of golds performance over the past several decades. Besides, wouldn't the CBs be keeping their "powder" dry in expectation of such a massive move in gold??

Amazing.
