Outlook Express ... Spelling

I have OE 4.72 instead. For spelling stuff, I click Tools and select options from the menu. I select the Spelling tab and click the boxes so OE does what I want.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. This is my 1,000th post!

Interesting problem.

I checked the registry key that you referred to, and I do have a Proofing Tools sub-section, followed by Word:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing Tools\Word Forms\1033\Normal

This leads me to believe that the Spelling tab is somehow associated with the dictionary installed with Microsoft Word. I assume you don't have that program installed on your system.

Regardless, if Outlook Express doesn't include a spell-check unless Word in installed on your system, I'd be extremely surprised. I'll do a little research for you and see what I come up with.
