When I made my comment about AOL I was making it on the following grounds. When one buys a stock one is buying the promise, the future earnings increases. In other words ones buys the story. The story for AOL is clouded now, not only by sector changes (Broadband, Free ISPs), but by the general health of the market. (Side bar I feel AOL will go down to 60 70s range) As of today, the only factors I see that would cause QCOM to drop to 120 range are, MOT's producing ASIC, QCOM's exposure to GSTRF, both of which are not that big a deal, which leaves the health of the market as the primary pending cause. I agree with you, if your horizon is longer then year or even 8 months, buying QCOM now would be a good buy. As far as I'm concern, I rather add to my holdings in QCOM at a better price. I feel the odds of QCOM going down are much better in the next two months then they are for QCOM to go up. If I miss out and QCOM makes charge to the moon right from here so be it, I still win.
