Are you referring to Symatnec's Undelete? I thought you had to have this program running before the error for it to work.

Richard, that is actually no problem, all you do is create a new profile with the same name as the one deleted, there is a way around duplicate names, etc..depends on if the file was restored back into the user directory.

I have done many HD rebuilds and have run into setting up new, old, editing profiles, played around a lot with profiles.

Best thing to do is drag your user folder on to a Zip disk, back up the complete folder.

Everytime I do a restore with DI, I copy all my critical data, user files, WP files, etc... on to another HD, restore the image, then copy back the data. I use DI when testing new software, becasue we all know when you uninstall it's never the same as never installing the software in the first place.
