Cut myself off from what? By not seeing movies? I read, Neo. I find that keeps me up with goings on in the world pretty well.

I almost always only watch movies for pure entertainment. I adore martial arts movies that are not too graphic or grossly violent. Just some good kick-ass fighting. I like sci-fi. I like film-noir. I like suspense but not horror, certainly not Friday the 13th sort of stuff. And an occasional something else, especially if someone drags me to see it.

It is true that I live for the ages. Seen one war, seen 'em all, pretty much.

And all this time I thought it was about
stock car racing....

Did you already discuss(-to-death)
Buena Vista Social Club?

I saw it last night. Aside from atrocious camera
work and bad video editing it was quite good.
I liked seeing how these great old musicians
were still carrying around all this music, though
their time on the bandstand had come and gone.
To have been suddenly thrust back on stage - at
Carnegie Hall of all places - must have been
quite a contrast for them.
