Guy, Excellent post. We are definitely thinking alike. I wrote my message before I saw your post (even though my message was 10 minutes after yours). With more people like us, and a little action from FNTN management, we will see $10.

A truly fine Dinner at the restaurant of your choice is on me when FNTN hits $10.

Guy: Your last few posts rank among the most intelligent and balanced that I have read on this thread and I commend you.
I'm cut from the same cloth as some of the more nervous investors on this thread - the only difference being that I have come to accept the ways of BBs and no longer try to compare their form and function to the Ciscos of the World.
Like you, I have limited my gamble to one or two BBs at any one time - (a recently mastered lesson).
Again, like you, my reasons for investing in FNTN are: distinguished board members, management, INTRAnet orientation and the enormous potential of a spiking BB.
As for the on and off again debate about FNTN's technology, my understanding of FNTN's niche is that it actually has very little to do with having a technological edge. As you know, FNTN is not a manufacturer of technology like Siemens or Intel - they're a reseller - so I look to their strength in product mix and sales connections.
By all measures, INTRAnets are growing faster than The Intranet, so it's not a bad business to cater to. FNTN appears to have positioned itself to appeal to mid-sized businesses as well as independent franchisees of National corporations who are looking for Intranet infrastructures. FNTN has targeted companies that don't want the expense and hassle of creating and maintaining their own Intranets but still require customization...
While FNTN has at times appeared to crawl its way into business, the irony may be that their actual market for this business is just now emerging. Obviously, many large corporations have had Intranets for some time now while the majority of mid-sized companies (with smaller budgets) have only recently begun to feel the effects of the widening information gap. Reaction time compounds their desperation for change.
If FNTN is truly able to deliver the mix of services at this time, then they may find their target clients to be at the softest level of resistance.
Anyway, that's the reason for my gamble - so for those that need to borrow a reason to invest in FNTN you're welcome to use mine.
If my reasoning doesn't work for you, like Guy suggests..
look up Cisco and go for the even money gamble.
Regards,
Wally
