Scotty--Glad to see someone with a like mind.

My full service broker did not have a broker-dealer agreement with ProFunds and could not place it through "broker buddy" connections, so I missed that 22%. (After I directed his fill-in to buy USPIX, I went on vacation and wasn't aware that they had not placed the buy for me.) I am pissed.

Anyway, for those of you who are interested ProFunds provided me with a list of broker-dealers that can get you in for $5k vs. $15k if you go in on your own. Waterhouse, Fidelity, Schwab, White and Vanguard will place you. Fees will not doubt vary. I'm going with Waterhouse.

(Oddly enough Waterhouse agreed to wave the fees if I agree to systematic investment in the fund. But since this looks more like a one time "bet" rather than a long term hold I'm just gonna pay the $24.)

Good luck to us.
