If I understand you correctly, yes, it would make sense to say that human adaptation is primarily cultural, and therefore that it involves internalizing the encompassing world, to the extent possible, in order to humanize and interact with it...On the other, there is a "virtuality" to all representations of the encompassing world. The greater the rigor, the more what I have called the "thickness of reality" is sacrificed; the more detailed and true to the individuality of experience, the "fuzzier" and more dependent on analogy the description. Therefore, in different ways, it may be that there is a comparable inadequacy....
