Hi Marcos. Diamondworks became directly involved in the
political affairs of Sierra Leone when they hired Executive
Outcomes to help overthrow the Rebel Government and
re-instate Kabbah last Spring. As a reward for their
efforts they were supposed to get a plethora of valuable
diamond concessions (something like 1/3 or the land mass if
memory serves me).
Rex on the other hand remained neutral during the conflict.
I am sure that the Rebels have not forgotten but then again
everyone is supposed to let bygones be bygones in this new
era of peace and understanding in Sierra Leone.
