I hold them overnight all the time. YHOO, AMZN, AOL, EBAY, etc. up to 5,000 share positions, both long and short. Very profitable! I especially love those morning gap-ups ;)

Of course, in this kind of a cruddy environment, I don't do much of that. My last overnight was a short in AMZN, which was good for 10+ points.

Actually, in my post I was referring to taking longer-term positions in the IRA account.
