The following excerpt from today's Reuters story on SGI's restructuring seems to indicate a connection to the SR/SGI/SDSU test.

"By shifting attention away from these two areas (low end design stations and high end super computers), he (SGI senior vice president Bill Kelley) said the company would be better able to focus on its large graphics servers and other visualization products. It would also form a new business unit targeted at applying its technology to new opportunities on the Internet."
