The odd thing is that it has not been a zoo consistently. When I first arrived, it was more like the common room of a pleasant boarding-house, with a number of interesting and well-informed occupants wandering in and out. But it does degenerate into a zoo very fast whenever What's His Name mounts one of his periodic blitzes of the thread. I guess that's the purpose of the blitzes; but it's a pity, nonetheless.
