wily, the extension for MS Works word processor files is wps, not doc. Also it does not have all the capabilities of Word and looks different. But maybe OE uses this for a spell checker.

Ok, I need help here...

I have a couple of lines in my AUTOEXEC.BAT file that I removed, yet everytime I restart the system, they re-appear. I've gone through pretty much everything I know, and I can't find a reason why it would continue to do so. Has anyone run into this before? It's incredibly annoying, since those lines refer to programs no longer present, hence I get "Bad command or file name" everytime I start the damn machine.

If I manually edit the file, and save, it looks fine...until the restart.

I've already re-installed '98 to clear potential problems, and run regclean...nada.

Anything come to mind?

Rich
