Have you ever seen a local C.O. (Central Office), they are constructed to withstand earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, nuclear attacks (I forget what the exact distance specification is though, obviously not a direct hit) and guess what...those 5ESS and 4ESS and DMS switches were the first on the block to be Y2K compliant. That's a mighty powerful design.... Just too bad they haven't been hardened against Toronto workmen who drop their wrenches into the hardware. <VBG> Regards, Ron
