Isn't anyone concerned about people making the association between cell phones and brain cancer? This seems obvious to me but, since it doesn't seem to have occurred to anyone else, maybe this concern is just a product of my twisted mind <g>.

I do hope that the ad agency has at least done some focus group work to make sure that people aren't making that association.

QCOM ads...

I checked out Michaels link to the ads.

I'm sure QCOM's Ad Agency made extensive use of focus groups. I
wonder what consumer profile they are after?

The 'Go Brain Go' catch phrase is annoying. The penultimate phrase in Ad 1 was more to me liking - "It's OK if I don't think like everyone else". Kind of rebellious, as opposed to the cheerleaderish "Go Brain Go"

A comment on the Q ads from a friend in the business FWIW:

They're obviously trying to create an image of cool, hip, innovative, young, etc.

I bet they will get some criticism about them trying to be another Apple, with Apple's ‘Think Different' campaign. The first commercial, especially, since it even has in the copy ‘It's ok if I don't think like everyone else'.

The commercials were certainly cheap to produce—no actors, no voiceover, no shoot at all, just some graphics and the rights to whatever music that is. They may have avoided using actors so that they are not a complete copy of Apple's stuff.
