If my reading of the passage in your post is correct, it sounds like the preferred stock purchasers are dividing themselves like an amoeba instead of remaining one entity so that collectively they can wind up owning two or three times as much stock in the company as they would as a single unified ownership entity: 10% or 15% versus just 5%. Let me know if you think I'm misinterpreting.
