Jason,

I recently added QWST service in place of ATT long distance at my home. I had reason to call them over the weekend, and learned they have implemented a new calling plan call "Countdown".

First, I don't remember all the tenets of the plan, but they did indicate that weekends are now 5 cent flat rate, down from 9 cents.

As well, the plan is called "Countdown" because they automatically lower your cents/minute rate for each consecutive quarter you stay with them by 1/2 cent. So after 1 quarter, you'd pay 8.5, 2 quarters, you would pay 8 cent/minute, after a year you pay 7 cents, and after 2 years, you pay 5 cents. You get the idea...

They also lowered their 800 service rate/minute to 9 or 10 cents.

I changed my current QWST plan to this "COUNTDOWN" plan to take advantage of these new features and lower cost.
