All parties will get less money. AOL will have a access like they had with Worldnet "Bring your own" $9.95. ATHM will have to get it's act together or end up being a dumb pipe, it has seven years to do it in. For the life of me I can't understand why ATHM doesn't have wiz bang site already.

DA,
Your comments on the T/AOL rumor concerning cable access seem to me right on point. Though still a rumor, it's a rumor from the NY Times, which, to me, gives it a certain credibility. I consider it the most significant news-cum-rumor we've had in quite a while as it addresses the biggest issue facing AOL. The article commented that no deal could be finalized until T's exclusive deal with @Home expired but failed to mention when that would occur. That might be an interesting date to know.
Best,
--Steve
