Ramsey Su: Others here can answer you better than I can. But since you asked :-) , think your point is well taken that wireless data will have to move up the speed chain just like telephone data (access to the likes of SI) has. The best I can do from my desk for example over the phone attached to my wall is about 48k. Cable not available.

Therefore I would be interested in higher speed wireless data - assuming an affordable price.

Expect this is a major market possibility but it is very much a chicken and egg problem. Unless the operators make it possible to transmit data faster in the real world, wireless phones or PDA's with high data capacity have no practical use. And vice versa.

Seems like ball is increasingly in the operators court, in the US.
