WMT is one of the five highest correlated to the Dow. WalMart has broken below prior support. JPM is the other of the gang of five to have broken down. The other three: Citigroup, GE, and American Express are moving slowly toward the May/June lows.

As far as indicators are concerned, I pay attention to the short interest when I look at the tech and especially the net sector. Without a strong short interest, especially in the nets, we won't see any kind of meaningful rally in that sector. Hence, I'm staying away from the nets. AOL as an example: bigcharts.com
