>>Is California Falling in the ocean?

For Ebay, I fear the situation is worse than that. With a PE of 875 and their continued server problems, I'm hoping that analysts will start to evaluate the company on fundamentals.

I just tried to short PCLN, but could find no shares to borrow. Instead, I shorted YHOO at 126.06.

I will cover all my shorts by end of day.

>>I don't understand the attraction to short ebay,
at these levels..<<

I actually shorted at a much higher level and have just ridden it to this point, although the head fake last week got me thinking. I still think there is a good chance it will break 70 in the near future. AMZN's auction site is pitiful in comparison (both functionally and in auction activity). However, someone with multiple revenue sources can kill Ebay with free auctions in the long-term. Again, I have nothing against Ebay, I just think it is a less dangerous short than AMZN
