You should be used to this! ;) From the Q2 CC - Jerry said he is "highly confident" in AMD's ability to "manufacture" more than 1M Athlons in Q4 Jerry's wording is tricky and almost mis-leading, but correct.

Given any realistic ramp, they should approach 1,000,0000 in the fourth quarter. However, there are other considerations: mobile version ramp up; server (Ultra) ramp; etc. all of which will absorb available limited resources. Be patient...It just may pay off. Regards, DARBES

AAAARRRGGGG>> I don't think that is true. I listened to the CC and I remember him saying 1 mil by Q4. Its only in the last few weeks that the numbers having started going up.....in fact I posted on that issue not too long ago. From what is being said from different quarters, the ramp up is going well and I suspect the 1 mil number will be exceeded but can you blame Sanders if he is being conservative this time around. It appears to me that the whole launch has been underplayed so that AMD can not be criticized for under performing. Does anyone else agree? It looks to me like it is going very well and we should enjoy this day. ted
