Ho hum...

Just when I was getting used to 9% down days...

...Today we're down 10%.

After re-reading the Reuter's Article (which HAD been posted on Friday as Joseph says), I doubt it could have brought NITE down this much. The article ends up on a somewhat positive note for market makers.

Did anyone notice that Reuters slyly didn't mention Instinet at all? Nor did they invoke the proper disclosure that Reuters owns an ECN - as Dow Jones & Company always does when the WSJ covers news on a potential conflict of interest.

Anyhow, today's action is perplexing, but we're not unaccustomed to this. The fact that volume is average for a down day like this doesn't imply a rush for the exits. Rather, this may be due to margin calls induced by FBCO shorting.

I don't care what anyone says - there is something going on - the stock is down by almost 5 points and NITE PR is strangely silent. I think soon we will hear some "news" which will explain this. There is no way on earth that this stock should have gone down this much today, no matter where it ends the day.
