My doctor wrote a prescription for Cenestin in lieu of Premarin for me, but only because I asked for it. He said I am only the second person who asked for it. He feels both drugs are equally beneficial.
I told him my concern about bone loss, but he feels Cenestin will be proven to be equal to Premarin in time. He does not believe he will push Cenestin unless clients request it, however. Cenestin will have a big job promoting the difference to the public. Oh, BTW, with my drug insurance I had to pay almost 100% more for the switch. I am not convinced that it is worth the difference.
