mile, the old spreadsheet from mckenziewebster that reh and i worked on is out of date. actually most of the design work on that spreadsheet was done by fred hager. it was ok at the time, but a lot of new info available now. i am presently only using figures from this year. unclewest

the brokerage houses not covering RMBS- ML, GS, PW, etc... mile, how do you know and don what position they do or do not hold in rambus? unclewest

Is RMBS going to earn $4.00 this year (Fiscal '00)? i don't think that is attainable. 1/2 of that may be possible. re. rmbs earnings for fiscal year 2000. due to the anomaly in reporting earnings, yr 2000 earnings for rmbs include this quarter. effectively the year ends on next june 30. therefore increasing 99 to 2000 earnings by a factor of 4+ as some predict or even higher as i predict is pretty large. the growth has to happen in just 6 or 7 months with limited new products. 2001 is a different story. this (y2000) year's new products will have a full 12 months of sales, setting us up for an earnings double just on those products. effectively, rmbs year 2001 begins july 1, 2000. around the time rmbs in servers, timna for low-end pc's, sony pII, digi tv and other products will have started. that is a helluva lot of adders. rmbs fiscal 2001-2002 will be the enormous earnings growth years. again rmbs fiscal 2001 effectively starts on july 1, 2000. these products may influence fiscal 2000 earnings as well, depending on when sales actually begin. unclewest
