Re: GSTRF filling the gap. It wouldn't surprise me in the least. However, this time around the co. has received recent support from three different sources by my count. Their 2 competitors (IRID and ICOGF) seem to be in deep stuff. They have their final financing in place and guaranteed by Loral. Finally, service is due to begin in a month, with no further satellites required to start up. I'm damned if I know where this thing is heading, but the positives are many and the only significant negative I can come up with is purely technical - as you've noticed.
