The benefits of reading Cramer(for the newbie trader) is not for what he says but how he says it. Cramer is a good example of a discretionary trader. And from his example you can learn that as a short term trader it critical to ALWAYS be thinking, observing, and coming to some conclusions about the market whether you are in a position or not.

For actual market calls he kinda sucks;)

hi Richard, I am a fan of isolation too, but have found enormous value in reading Cramer, and yes, the most recent trade he made for me was his broadcast that he would sell his ATHM into the rumored YHOO-bid pop... I could pay thestreet subscriptions for the entire population of Guatemala as a result of his admission. There are precious few people worth listening to (I have never ever watched CNBullC during the trading day, mainly because I don't have a TV), but he is certainly one of them.
