I don't like this acquisition
I'm crossing my fingers that EMC will quickly organize the server business for a spin-off or sale opportunity. I understand they would have to wait 2 years but they could get things ready.

The CEO has delivered on his promises in the past despite what the analysts have said.
On the other hand I agree with D.S. that the biggest concern is dilution of the corporate focus.
I have been there at a top managment level and it can take a toll if the aquisiton doesn't include some very good people.I would guess it does not in veiw of General's past performance. It tough when good management gets spread too thin and new politics enter the scene.
