Take a look at the Wall Street Journal. It lists the stocks that comprise the DOW and Transports. The S&P 500 and the NASDAQ Composite are, of course, much broader composites. You will probably have to consult the websites of the appropriate exchanges for listings of the stocks that make up these indices. I have seen the NAZ 100 stocks on a NASDAQ/AMEX website, for example, in looking at the stocks that make up the QQQ tracking index. Of course, the RUT is the Russell 2000, so it is quite a large listing of 2000 stocks. There are also the Russell 1000 and Russell 3000 indices. Hope this helps.
