Ribert -- I don't think this is linked to the FOMC. The lease rates of gold are linked to the rising risk of default on these loans. In a market that is thousands of tons short, leasing rates for the metal will soar. As leasing rates soar and traders cover their short positions the price of gold goes up. As the price of gold goes up, the risk of default rises again and leasing rates go up further. Etc. etc. $30 by October -- my friend we could see $30 this week in this kind of market. It has huge potential for an upside move.
