Can anyone help me to tell me that I am totally wrong.

Yes that's right, I think just about anyone could.

Did it ever occur to you that if a series of Ebay outages can end a bull market, then the bull market was over anyway?

Are you advancing the theory that the bull market would have continued for another 15 years if Ebay hadn't gone down?

I think you need to go talk to the guys on the Big Kahuna and Myth threads. This is the SUNW thread.

Regards,

So if the Exxon Valdez were to sink off Alaska, that would drag down the entire oil industry? I think you're being a bit pessimistic.

BWDIK?

Dear Lucinos, you sound stressed. And I know what that is like.

The networking sector is in a world of its own, as every analyst has always said. Now there is so much confusion about which company or companies will dominate the industry it is understandable why people would move their money out of this sector.

Last Friday night, I watched an analyst on Rukyser's Wall Street Week. The analyst said that Amazon.com would NOT turn a profit until 2002!!! Why would the average investor want to pay an outrageous sum for a share in a company that will not have a profit until the year 2002? There are many companies that make very good profits NOW?

Sun, Csco, Emc, NT, AT&T and many other companies will continue to make money regardless of what happens to the share prices of the .coms. Why? These companies provide the infrastructure for the .coms. If one .com goes out of business, there will always be a dozen or more companies who wait to take its place.

Also, there is a tremendous demand for new chips for the new technology that will hit the market so AMAT, TXN, STM, HIFN should do very well.

Then there is a huge demand for the new products that will hit the market. Again, Sun should do very well.

There is a possibility that the market may decline significantly over the next few months. The decline will provide a tremendous buying opportunity in those stocks that I mentioned above and in many others as well.

I don't know if the networking sector can regain its lofty share price until we know who the winners will be.

Just some thoughts. I am not an investment advisor. I felt that you were stressed out & wanted to let off some steam. I wanted to let you know that you are not alone. In the past, I have also had bad experiences in the market. I survived. I believe you will survive as well!

Best wishes,

Mephisto
