usw/qwst -- glw: - think definitely validates qwst buying usw - they get 14 million customers plus dsl technology - plus makes them more attractive for BLS to buy the whole kit and kaboodle. GLW - making me nervous - GLW is running on fiber sales and photonics - fiber sales are strong now. but if the investing community gets a whiff of coming overcapacity in the fibre biz, then i fear glw will get hit. just as it did a year or two ago when it said that the rate of growth of fiber sales was slowing. stock went from 65 tp 25. larry
