I wouldnt say that. I cant decide which business model to believe in, though either one has great potential.

I'd say the bottom line is that if Excite can produce a world class broadband site good enough to stand up against open competition then they should stick it out. If not- erase the mistake of buying the losers and get on with being a "dumb pipe" (and a broadband site host).

@home has a world class "dumb pipe", and you should always lead with your strength.

Yes, yihsuen, it's not bad if ATHM as a dumb pipe can make me some money too. However, if ATHM be reduced to a network service company instead of a true ISP in the same league as AOL, their potential is simply not as great as that of a true Broadband ISP. ATHM as a dumb pipe will look more like a department of AT&T. At some stage AT&T may buy them out, so we end up holding a lot of AT&t stocks. This is not the best future for this company.
