you can enter a fake order, then abort it at the last moment - this will give you a real-time quote.

you can get 20-minute delayed quotes on the CBOE website; similar is the quote.com chart generator thingy.

normally I use the (supposedly real-time) quotes from my DISCOVER account, Paul. Their option chain and quote mechanism are easier for me to work with than anything else that I've got. Up to now I've always executed options on E*TRADE.

the Brown&Co account is brand new and I haven't done anything with it yet - it's an IRA. I'm moving stuff around right now and re-organizing the accounts: I have gotten way too heavy in cash, and my bonds, managed by my family's CPA/CFA for years, are yielding about what they are decaying - thus my sudden interest in learning all about bonds & fixed-income investments (^_^)
