Eric, I use this site for short interest. It looks flaky, I know.

viwes.com

The problem is, when you can't get shares to short it is actually bullish I have found and that concerns me for pcln.

Do you happen to know of any other sites that would show the short interest as of the end of trading today?

Eric, they don't play fair, they will not share!

Ok, for Pcln, this is what I think -- Accordingly the # of outstanding share for Pcln is 142M; the institutions own 20% and that's 29M shares.http://yahoo.marketguide.com/mgi/instit_owner/A1E44.html
Now, the current float is 10M...supposedly out of the 10M float, retailers hold less than 3M shares and the 3M shares have been entirely shorted as of now.

See, the institutions can control their shares and keep them from being shorted at will; therefore, you can't borrow to short at will. I got 200 short shares last Thursday @79 1/2 and I can try tomorrow to see if I am able to again. (I normally request to short shares via pending orders...)
