Interesting News From Part of WAVX's Supply Chain... This bit from Sigma Designs today. Note what they're doing. They've signed up with a CONTENT PARTNER... to provide newsrooms with short video segments for filler material. And when you, the news station, want to download something, they sell you a Sigma RealMagic DVD decoder card. This decoder allows you to decode and download broadcast quality versions of the clips. Isn't that an interesting twist? Could you imagine a similar package being put together with, say, HAUP. But, he asks, how would the TEASER MATERIAL get broadcast in a sufficiently interesting way to prompt me to buy a WinTV-D tuner card? The whole concept of compelling content pulling me through... so that I want to buy a tuner card. Interesting, huh? What if...? Here's the link.
