I prefer shortening bolts. With my daily Xenical they go right through like ... greased lightning.

You lecture others about being believers in the occult, yet you are a follower of the Nostradamus nonsense.

Dreary person, indeed! Huh!

What an excuse! I bet you didn't know "lightening" was Middle English. I pointed that out to you and, as usual, you very glibly used that fact to try to cover up your ignorance! Any mature person would have accepted my correction graciously. BUT OH NO!!!, TB must ever appear to be smarter than anyone else!
Do Americans really care for Middle English and readily recognise Middle English spellings? Hhmm, how very interesting, if not so very revealing, eh? Do American universities really care to teach Middle English? Come on, tell me honestly! Beware: I know the facts!

Mind you, I didn't slam you for that error/archaism. I merely pointed it out. As I said earlier, you should have graciously accepted my correction. That lightening should not have been used today by you, a self-professed major in English, as that is tantamount to setting a bad example, if not making an egregious display of your ignorance! Because you had used "lightening" several times before on another thread, I realised you had not made a "typo" this time and so I felt compelled to TEACH!!! you, you ingrate. Also, you showed your ignorance when you tried to ridicule me for using "germane" (meaning "relevant") on another thread. You thought I was referring to Germans! or something else! Major in English, indeed! Or was it a display of juvenile behavior?

Hey, you claim to have majored in English, eh? That would make you an artsey-fartsey, would it not? Note: I am just asking a question! Yet on another thread you mentioned you graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree! How very interesting! Now that makes you a real smartie, does it not?

Maybe you did indeed major in English and so you thought you could outwrite/outsmart others with your sophistry, eh?

You like to give but you can't take! You are a very poor sport! Grow up and be happy!
