I haven't expressed any animosity toward Chelsea Clinton. I also frankly am at a loss to understand this visiting the sins of the father upon the [daughter]. Now Clinton is here compared to Hitler and de Sade; he's not close to either. But such is the venom. I think the Clintons are the basic lightning rods for people who have a very deep hatred for "liberals." I would be more comfortable if most of the venom-spewers came across as truly detesting perjury or adultery. After speaking to many of my fellow Republicans about this, I have found that most are not really that worked up about lying or adultery; the main issue really is taxes. Think about it, and it makes sense. A short quiz: Most people react with violent anger when: (a) they hear a politician has lied; (b) they hear that someone has committed adultery; or (c) someone tries to get money from them, and they don't want to pay it. I think the correct answer is "c". Now you understand why they hate Chelsea: because the tax and spend liberal Clintons have procreated, creating another (presumed) liberal. Since Chelsea is viewed as the next generation of the pro-tax crowd, they hate her too. No other explanation makes sense.
